Daniela Pinto

Daniela Pinto is a Toronto-based film, television, and video game composer whose work spans a diverse range of genres and styles, from sweeping orchestral epics, to dreamy synthesizer soundscapes, and everything in between. With a background in classical piano performance, she discovered her passion for scoring by accident while in film school. She scored over a dozen short films by the time she graduated - including a few that she wrote and directed herself. Her recent credits include the TV series Potluck Ladies, nominated for multiple Canadian Screen Awards, the short horror film Diaspora, which earned her a Canadian Screen Music Award nomination, and the steampunk deckuilder RPG Hunter's Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure by Zugalu Entertainment.

Daniela is also an accomplished sound editor and a member of the Directors Guild of Canada. She has worked on the sound departments of features like David Cronenberg's Crimes of the Future, and series like AMC+'s Moonhaven and Saint-Pierre on CBC. She's also an alumnus of the Canadian Academy of Film and Television's Women in Post talent development program. As a composer fluent in the workflows and tools of audio post production, she brings both creative vision and technical problem-solving skills to every production.
