Kaïa Kater

Kaïa Kater is a Canadian Academy Award-winning and Juno Award-winning songwriter and composer. Her voice, instrumental skills and deft songcraft have garnered acclaim from CBC, BBC Music, and Rolling Stone. Kaia's recent film and television work includes songwriting for CBC/BET’s The Porter as well as a co-write with Dan Romer (Beasts of The Southern Wild, Station Eleven) for the upcoming feature film My Dead Friend Zoe. Kaia has toured internationally, including notable performances at NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts and Carnegie Hall. Kaia’s fourth studio album is due for release in May 2024, and has be hailed as “a radical celebration of Kater reclaiming her inner power, while also shedding light on those relegated to the margins of history” in CBC Music’s Spring 2024 “15 new releases you need to hear".

When she’s not working, Kaia loves to cook new dishes, see concerts, and re-watch old television shows.
